A serial technopreneur with over two decades of experience, Karim’s quest to create high-tech products and solutions is what inspired him to cofound CEQUENS in 2011. Throughout his career, Karim’s ethos is to deliver communication-based platforms and solutions for seamless customer experiences. Today, CEQUENS is recognized as a global player in the cloud-based, omni-channel communication solutions space.

Prior to CEQUENS, Karim was the co-founder and Executive President at EgyptNetwork, a leading unified communications enabler, and Software development house, and a board member for the Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (EITESAL), a non-profit entity of ICTE companies and global corporations.

As CEO of CEQUENS, Karim has successfully managed to deliver a suite of innovative communication solutions including SMS, Voice, Push Notification, email, and Chat Apps APIs to over 100 markets globally, serving more than 1,200 clients such as Microsoft, Google, Careem, Telegram, HSBC, Viber, Alibaba, IKEA, Talabat, and AlRajhi Bank, and bridging 7 billion mobile subscribers to the business world.

Today, CEQUENS is a multi-award winning, ISO-certified company and PCI DSS-compliant company, and has been rated as a Tier One A2P SMS solutions provider in ROCCO's A2P SMS Market Impact Reports 2023. It is also recognized as a Meta Business Partner and a value-added service provider for Microsoft Teams Phone and WhatsApp Business.

Karim grew up in Cairo, Egypt. He is an Endeavor Egypt Entrepreneur, a mentor for several regional startups, and has participated in numerous talks across MENA.
