Cequens empowers wholesale customers like mobile network operators, SMS aggregators, hubs, resellers and OTTs with A2P SMS termination of mission critical transactional SMS alerts, bulk campaigns, and Two-Factor Authentication through One-Time-Passwords (OTP).
Our coverage network offers premium SMS routes to virtually every country in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and features 150+ direct MEA mobile operator connections. Our constantly growing global network of mobile operators and group partners extends Middle East and Africa coverage to all corners of the world.
Powered by our proprietary technology and innovative bulk SMS handling, our SMS gateway and Cloud Communication Platform, is PCI/DSS compliant and hosted in geo dispersed Tier-4 datacenters worldwide, with several security and performance features that ensure carrier grade availability and reachability to every mobile anywhere in the world. Cequens is a GSMA Associate Member and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
We offer various sets of filters through our firewall, and support a reliable Billing and Charging system through the Billing module. Our Platform also supports Mobile Number Portability routing and other functionality like Number Discovery.
Quality coverage is a core strength at Cequens, which we take pride of in our direct connectivity with mobile operators in the Middle East and Africa. There are different routes A2P SMS can take to reach a final destination, but the most direct one is the fastest and most reliable.
Quality coverage becomes of critical importance when sending sensitive time-based SMS such as one-time passwords that expire after a limited time, or transaction confirmation SMS when the customer is waiting at a point of sale. We aim to connect directly to at least two carriers per country where available: carrier redundancy guarantees automatic load balancing in case of operator, SMS route failure or downtime.
Performance & Reliability
Our entire SMS gateway platform architecture and infrastructure is fully cloud hosted, offering the highest levels of availability, scalability, and disaster recovery. Operating on the cloud means access to datacenters in state-of-the-art facilities with industry standard controls and physical security measures. Cloud operations also allow regional access sites that avail local nodes in close physical proximity to client systems. Optimized load balancing ensures that demanding computational instructions are evenly distributed across multiple servers.
SMS Gateway Features
Connecting to our SMS Gateway
In addition to standard SMPP support, our RESTful APIs allow you to integrate with our SMS gateway to build apps that communicate with the world. With support for bulk SMS sending, number lookup and verification, our entire SMS gateway is just a few lines of code away. We support different methods of connecting to our bulk SMS gateway, allowing our customers to choose the most convenient way of sending SMS, verifying numbers and authenticating transactions over SMS-based two-factor authentication.
The Cequens SMS gateway and Cloud Communication Platform provides processing and termination of SMS received from different External Short Message Entity (ESME) to different mobile network subscribers or other SMSCs in the Middle East and Africa. Our SMS platform also supports Mobile Termination (MT) of incoming SMS from different applications and clients that use different protocols like SMPP and HTTP.
